« on: April 22, 2008, 06:29:34 PM »
This is for all OOC discussion, Please don't have any OOC stuff longer than two sentences in the IC threads thank you.

One of the first things I'm going to say is This is an experiment, depending how it all goes will depend on whether there Will be a continuence of Dark Macross.

Just got say how awesome it is to see more people coming up with Macross games that aren't all Palladium based!

Still not Mekton but I can't complain.   You may want to pimp this game around to other forums.   Chtulcu (sp?) tech was pretty new and had some discussions on Rpg.net forums.

Hi,

Just wondered over from the Cthulhutech home forum after I noticed the post for this game. First of gratz for being the first to try out another setting with the rules.
A few questions if I may?

1. When roughly is this set in the Macross timeline? Macross, Macross plus. Macross 7, Macross Frontiers?

2. When you say marines does that mean just body armour and rifle? or powered armour (Its been a while since I watached some of the series. I know that no power armour exists in Macross or Marcross plus. Not sure on 7. Frontiers does seem too have some.)

3. In the intro you have some skills listed as only at novice is that a hard cap or just an example?

Thanks for any answers.

howdy DrF,

just afew answers,

1: the starting setting will be starting in 2048 so after Plus and 7 but before the resident M15 campaign and Frontiers.

2: Body armour and rifles, I will not confirm or deny power armour.

3: If the skill in that perticular job has (Max level of X) then yes it is a cap, however thats only as a starter skill, if after you want to spend XP on improving them then you can.

Okay thanks for the answers, a few more questions.

1. With the Navy pilot is he ment to be a shuttle type pilot or a veritech pilot? (Or cross trained)
1.a If hes a veritech pilot are you ruleing that all mecha weapons use support? (Asuming we even ever see mecha that is?)

2. Can we use flaws and Assets? (Or would you rather leave so peeps without the book can join in?)
2a. Do we got BP's to flesh out or just the 35/15?

He's a shuttle Pilot
1.a If hes a veritech pilot are you ruleing that all mecha weapons use support? (Asuming we even ever see mecha that is?)
We'll cross that if it comes to it

2. Can we use flaws and Assets? (Or would you rather leave so peeps without the book can join in?)
I'm not gunna penalyse people people who have the book, however use common sense as some assets or drawbacks won't fit, yet?
2a. Do we got BP's to flesh out or just the 35/15?
I'll give the Standard additional 5 points for a good background,

Being the odd one out can be intresting, I thought being the Flyboy among a bunch of Jarheads could be fun eps. a Flyboy(girl) that made a name as a fighterjock and is now playing taxi.

It was also the first concept that came to me, the other was for a Navy mech. sent along to help the marines get the ship going again.

As for the Avatar a bit of both I think (It's from Galaxy angel right?)

This looks pretty darn cool, but I'm not up for buying a new game. If there's an NPC or pregen character, I'd love to play.

Any chance of that?

I'll play any character, I'm flexible.

I just checked the Cthulutech book out, and it's super cool! Thanks Hegemon for using this system and pointing it out.

I just previewed it, but I definitely will be buying it as soon as funds become available. In the mean time, I'm looking forward to trying it out!

And, wouldn't you know it, I used to live quite close to the Wildfire publisher folks. How come I only find out about these things after I've moved across country!

So Hegemon, when would you like the character sent to you, and how many points are we using?
