LTCMDR Illeana "Razor" WeissenbergThe Executive Officer.
Not trusting Ina to follow orders as far as she could see her, Illeana followed the green-haired pilot as she made her way towards the beach's entrance, coming to an unexpected stop near the parked jeep that she'd driven into the beack a moment earlier. Mistaking Ina's doing so as her way of having a moment with her XO so they could talk in private and maybe explain her actions a little, Illeana did nothing to force her to keep walking. Her decision soon revealed to be a mistake.
What she assumed to be a veiled accusation of her being drunk on Ina's part followed, despite the fact that the squadron was officially off duty, and angered Illeana to no end.
"Not nearly enough to deal with your crap anymore." Illeana hissed as a reply, quickly moving closer to Ina until there wasn't but a few inches separating her face from that of the green-haired pilot under her command, glaring into her eyes. "And you'd better stand at attention when I'm talking to you!" Illeana roared, the anger bubbling inside her just aching to use her to mop the beach's floor, if such a thing could be actually done.
What the frack is wrong with her? She angrily thought.
Maybe wanting her to keep her fracking mouth shut is asking too much.. the blonde-haired hastily concluded.
Noticing a rugged-looking man wearing trunks and a white t-shirt that was standing close to the jeep, most likely out of curiosity, Illeana took a couple steps back and gestured for him to get closer to where both Ina and herself stood next to the jeep "You're with the station's Marine detachment, yes?" She asked.
"Yes, ma'am. Corporal Schmidt."
"Good. Corporal, you will escort the Ensign back to the station's brig on this jeep as soon as I'm done with her here. She's to be detained there until further notice. Once you've driven her there, feel free to return here." Illeana said, nodding lightly at him before she turned to look at Ina again.
"Yes ma'am." he said as he came to attention. He was privately glad not to be on the receiving end of that crapstorm.
Illeana spoke again, this time directed at Ina. "Ensign Khan, consider yourself relieved of your flight status and position within the VFA-364 Purple Foxes. I will also be recommending a full psychiatrical evaluation to be performed as soon as your transfer out of this station is completed. Should you pass the tests, you'll most likely go back to being an operator." She extended her hand arm towards Ina, her hand's palm facing up. "Your pilot wings, Ensign. And don't expect to be seeing them ever again."
UNS Marauder
On a high geo-synchronous orbit above Mars. ADM John A. McCabePlaying war games.
Admiral McCabe's eyelids opened wider -even if minutely- as he listened to Archer refer to a
couple units going through training. He wasn't making any reference as to the units' names, but his knowledge of SOAR would only mean that Archer'd obtained a 'backstage pass' somehow.
"I can only guess that you're talking about the Purple Foxes, down in Florida. Funny that you weren't be aware of their existence... given that you've just been given command of the unit." He paused for a moment, allowing for a bit more time to get his thoughts in order. "I've only one additional squadron on site, the Silver Knights, for the station's aerial defense. Most of its pilots are reservists and the like." McCabe smiled a broad smile, frowning as he continued to speak. "So I take it that your aides are trying to make you feel that you're taking over the world by multiplying the forces that have just been assigned to you, huh? Unit names and numbers always look great on paper..."
Admiral McCabe chuckled for a second, wondering how far should he go.
"And, for the record, I'm not worried about you. I'm worried about all the poor bastards that you're taking along for the ride on that flagship on yours. I'm duty-bound to inform you that Darts are nowhere near completing the second weapon-development cycle. Loading potentially unsafe experimental warhead technology is something that most would deem irresponsible while not at war, don't you agree?"
