SVF-232 RED DEVILS SQUADRON

SVF-232 Red Devils Squadron was formed in late 2008 to honor of USMC Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 232.  The intent was to recruit Marine aviators to Variable Fighter training.  Results we less then desired.  Marine pilots were insulted that the SVF-232 was U.N. Spacy unit and not an U.N. Space Marine squadron.  SVF-232 flew early training flights over Japan.  Local News stations caught wind of these training flights and made the mistake of associating the Red Devils with Red Devils of Ii Naomasa from the battle of Sekigahara (1600).  Before a story could be retracted several pilots of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force had logged on to the U.N. Spacy's pilot recruiting site.

By the start of the Space War One the SVF-232 were assigned to the SDF-1 Macross.  Red Devil's weren't a very note worthy squadron.  During the Macross's battle at Mars Base the Devils took heavy loses.  Months later the additon of more new pilots and Fast Packed Equipped VF-1 Valkyries code named "Booby Duck" meant that the Red Devils were ready to take part in the Lynn Minmay Operation.
