"Real de..."

Hearing that, Laframboise smiles, leans back, and says, "better take another drink of your moonshine, farm-boy."

She also takes a short drink.  Before leaning in and whispering in his ear, in a breathless manner, "so, what's your story?  What got you off the farm and into this tin-can, deep in space?"

When he enter, William took the time to take good glimpse of the place: he had heard about the place from other's pilots but never get to it: He an Mindy had get out a couple of time in the city but always gone to "The Mac-Burned"; a Pub serving an adequate selection of english beverage and excellent Ribs, and the Timeloop; the multi era of time teamed room karaoke and the only one who had old french-canadian songs. This place was special: A F-14 mignature was suspended in the air menacing to fall on the clients and bigs images of the characters of Top gun where hanged on the walls. The group installed themselves under the photo of Goose. Wolfie had an overall good impression of the place until he looked at the menu: That was really a Izakaya, a japanese bar, and not an american style one, witch was strange since the movie was dripping of american style. and the worst: Japanese beer. No Guiness. Not even a Rickard's Red or a Carlsberg. No, this place is not deserving that much credit. Anyway, he didn't even had the time to say a word to the waiter that the team leader already commander for everyone.

"So... how are we going to go about completing the mission objectives?  I figure the Basara part is pure escort duty.  The other stuff... well... I'm open to suggestions on how we lift the M7's entire star chart."

"I'll say it with depend from the liberty we will have. The best probability of result should be an infiltration: we make ourselves pass for regulars military personels of the M7 and and gain access to the main central data of the Battle 7 computer and copy the maps. Of course, I'm only talking about the computer part; Getting there may be difficult: we may have to pass many detection systems and to make confirm our false identity many time."

The Elint specialist took the time to sip a bit of that too sour beverage the japanese call a beer and control himself to not grin.

"Of course, we may be able to hack their systems from away: somewhere in the city of from a fighter maybe, but even if distance help to cover ourselves, it also got ourselve more security to bypass. Of course, everything would be more easy for us if we simply had the Targus and a Sonic Screwdriver!* Ha! Ha! Ha!"

"so, what's your story?  What got you off the farm and into this tin-can, deep in space?"

Accent firmly in place, Tyrell replied, "Well you see darlin', I wanted to see the world abit before i started working the farm after I finished my BFar. A friend used to tell me all these stories from beyond the sky," He continued, what he didn't say was he was awestruck since he was little, watching the tele and seeing the mighty Warriors Fighting the sinister SIS. He didn't say about his obsession, these people just wouldn't understand, no one would understand. "And what about Miss Laframboise? What is a purty gal like you doing sitting here next to a wee young whelp of a rustlers son on this military all expenses paid luxury liner." He questioned with slight derision.

Yamato takes a slow sip of her beer as she eye's Laframboise and Tyrell.

"Hmmm," Yamato half purrs.  "Makes sense."  She pulls out a datapad and slaps it on the table, and quickly scrawls notes that M7 fleet uniforms should be made ready for the Black Wraiths.

She sits back, "Yoshimoto might have a few tricks up his sleeves to get past any detection systems.  I'll ask him about it later..."

Ha! Ha!"

Yamato cocks an eye at Archer's joke.  She didn't get the reference.  'Must be an engineer thing,' she thinks to herself.

"It might be possible... but I think we should go for the City 7's navigation section first.  At the very least, there will be less security to sneak through."

Yamato waves over the nearest waitress, and orders another beer.

She looks at Laframboise disapprovingly.  "So, who wants to do what on the mission?"

Donner, after finishing his beer and also indicating to the waiter that he wants another, responds to Yamato with, "I'll watch over Basara.  I was always curious what it's like to be a rock star... you know, behind the stage performances and all that."

Yamato nods.  "Lafram?" she half barks, as she stares, somewhat miffed, into the bottom of her beer mug.

"Well you see darlin', I wanted to see the world abit before i started working the farm after I finished my BFar.

Laframboise, who had been busy wiping the countertop in front of her for the nth time since sitting down paused, and mouthed the word "BFar?"  Before shaking it out of her head and continuing her mindless obsession with cleanliness.

"And what about Miss Laframboise? What is a purty gal like you doing sitting here next to a wee young whelp of a rustlers son on this military all expenses paid luxury liner."

Laframboise scrunched up the sanitary towel.  When Tyrell finished, she picked up on his tone, scowled and squeeze the sanitary towel with enough force that the tendons stood out on her knuckles.

She then laughed it off and tossed the towel ball into a nearby ashtray.  "Hahaha, two rabbis and a priest.  You heard that one?"

"Lafram?"

Laframboise jumps bolt upright with Yamato's bark.  She blushes as she bats her eyes and briefly glances at Tyrell's face, gauging his reaction.  "I'm curious about Ray Lovelock... so I'll watch the band."  She pauses, realizing the mistake, and quickly corrects herself, "Basara.  Watch Basara."
She looks at Tyrell's eyes, feigning a somewhat dreamy look.  "What about you, farm boy?"

"Unless one of you have hacking experience that you didn't told me, looks like i'll be in the Infiltration Team."

The sound of the music of "Danger Zone" catch his ears: Il was another Video on the main screen of real footage images from the Space War I made by a fan; The ressemblence of the F-14 with the VF-1 was legendary.

"Hahaha, two rabbis and a priest.  You heard that one?"

Wolfie Looked back at his long time friend with amazed look in his eyes: It Wasen't the kind of joke she had the habbit to make, she was morte into the "Newfie" jokes. Was she...interested...by this guy? The Recon pilot took another look at the cow-boy, Listening at what he will say.

Austyn noticed the somewhat repressed angry at his comment so he just smiled at her, when she spoke, "Hahaha, two rabbis and a priest.  You heard that one?", all he said was, "No I havnt heard it, you should tell me some time, allright little miss," His grin ever present.

Lafram? Came the bark, Mindy looked taken aback by the sudden loud mention of her name, seeing the glance she gave him Austyn just remained undisturbed, then he noticed out the corner of his someone paying him attention.

What about you, Farmboy brought his attention back to the middle, "I'll come along and keep ya company petal, no worries, you can show me how things are done, yeah?"

Sipping from his drink, Tyrell Strechted abit and then spoke aloud to the Entire group, "You guys ever heard the one about the Cowboy and the Preacher."
Not giving anyone enough time to answer he carries on,
Quote
'One Sunday, a cowboy went to church. When he entered, he saw that he and the preacher were the only ones present. The preacher asked the cowboy if he wanted him to go ahead and preach.
The cowboy said, "I'm not too smart, but if I went to feed my cattle and only one showed up, I'd feed him."
So the minister began his sermon.
One hour passed, then two hours, then two-and-a-half hours. The preacher finally finished and came down to ask the cowboy how he had liked the sermon.
The cowboy answered slowly, "Well, I'm not very smart, but if I went to feed my cattle and only one showed up, I sure wouldn't feed him all the hay."'

Yamato nods.  It makes perfect sense to her.

"I'll come along and keep ya company petal, no worries, you can show me how things are done, yeah?"

She curtly nods at Tyrell, "alright, now that that's settled, let's forget about work for a few hours."

Yamato stands up, and yells at the nearest waiter, "round of MAD*, here!

* Mutual Assured Destruction: inverse of rum and coke (7 fingers of rum or vodka, 3 fingers of coke).

Five days, and more than a few days worth of long hours spent in the simulators nursing hangovers, the SDFN-08 defolds in deep space.  As per prearranged planning, the Black Wraiths are given M7 security passes and basic security codes to get around.  They are also dressed in M7 Fleet uniforms.

They get into their fighter craft, and fold to a clump of asteroids in the path of the M7.  There, they hide behind the rocks, and wait the hour or so until the M7 fleet defolds in a spectacular showcase of exploding fireworks that lights up half the sky.

About an hour after the first patrols fly by, Yamato indicates they should move out, and they head, as sneakily as possible, deep into the core of the M7 fleet.  For some of the pilots, there is a lot of nostalgia, as they have spent a large chunk of their youth and adult lives in fleets very similar to the look and feel of the M7 fleet.

The Black Wraiths sneak into the less well secured Akusho emigrant colony capsule on the side of City 7.  True to the reports, the capsule is maintained with only minimal lifelines and the constant creaking from the hull sends shivers down more than one pilot's spine at the fear of stories of sudden decompression.

City 7 - Akusho Emigrant Colony Capsule
2067.06.06

Yamato quickly scans the interior of the Akusho capsule, and leads the Black Wraiths into the center of a worn down, unused danchi.

After everyone has disembarked, she says, "our fighters should be OK here.  Double check that you've locked your fighter, and bring your CSWs, camping gear, and any infiltration equipment you've brought with you.  We'll make our base camp closer to Basara's residence.

A short hike out of the danchi and through a park, they arrive at a line of dilapidated buildings across the street from the famous building that Fire Bomber was born in.

Without much attempt at stealth, Yamato leads the team to a 3rd floor room that has an indirect view of Basara's building.  She indicates that they'll make their base camp here and they shouldn't be noticed as there are a lot of vagrants in the Akusho capsule.

An hour later, and after everyone is more than well settled in, Donner, who had been ordered to watch for Basara reports that he hasn't seen Basara, nor any other activity in the building.

Yamato mulls over things for a moment, and then says, "Laframboise, take the farmer and try and find Basara.  Donner, stay here, and watch the building for any sign of him.  Archer, grab your gear, and come with me."

On the way out of the building and toward City 7 and the nearest tube-train station, she asks Archer, "how do you think we should go about sneaking into the City 7 fold engine navigational computer section?"

After they've gone, Laframboise indicates that Tyrell should get his stuff.

On the way out of the dilabidated building, she elbows Tyrell in the ribs.  "First time in the big city, eh?  As ratty-ass as this one is," she adds, briefly turning completely around to get a look at the ruined buildings and dirty dome.

"Where do you thinks we should start looking for Basara?"  She stops mid stride, then says, "scratch that.  If you were Basara before your big break, where would you be right now?"

OOC: Updated the text for more details.

"Archer, grab your gear, and come with me."

"Yes Ma'am"

Wolfie quickly gather what he need: He ajusted his uniform to look like a Macross Seven technician: His waist toolkit, the toolbox with the powerfull computer hided inside, equiped with state of the arts hacking programs and parts, and, more precious, the standart secret codes of the UN Spacy to help get us the data, and a ultra-high capacity hard drive to get all the Maps. He recheck his equipment and close his toolbox: he was ready.

On the way out of the building and toward City 7 and the nearest tube-train station, Yamato asks Him:

"how do you think we should go about sneaking into the City 7 fold engine navigational computer section?"

"No: The computer of the Fold engine only have the specification and processors to make the City 7 create a Fold bubble. Of course, there must be a copy of what the city 7 have scanned on the Sensor computer core, but other ships also have sensors Data so for a full Fold Maps of all the ships of the fleet have see, we will have to go to the main computer core. I wish we could go somewhere else, but the other places are the bridge or on the Battle 7, where all the data are compiled."

Deep Space -
City 7 - Akusho Emigrant Colony Capsule
2067.06.06

Black Wraiths' Base Camp

1st Lieutenant Donner hears something from across the street.  He crouches behind the window, and peers at Fire Bomber's apartment building with his binoculars.

He sees a guitar slinging girl storming out of the front door in anger.  Quickly following her not but a few steps behind is Ray Lovelock.  He is telling her to wait and that Basara will be back... soon.

A few Streets Over: Laframboise & Tyrell

Waiting for Tyrell to contemplate a good answer, Laframboise continued leading him past a row of dilapidated apartment blocks.  Rounding the corner of the last one, she stops, and quickly steps back.  Tyrell barely avoids walking into her, and is taken a bit by surprise as she latches onto his left arm, and yanks him back behind the corner.

Before he can say anything, Laframboise is looking around the corner, and is grabbing at her holstered 9x19 Auto Pistol.

She leans back, taking a deep breath, as she finally undoes the strap over the butt of the gun.  As she pulls the pistol out and cocks it, she hisses at Tyrell, "down the street.  Heading to the opposite side."

When Tyrell peaks out, he sees a Baroota vampire trudging somewhat cautiously across the street.  It's back is to them.

Laframboise hisses at Tyrell, "where those things active in City 7 before the first encounter with the Baroota?  What I read in history class said otherwise... I think the time-line is more screwed up then the big boys back in the Fokker think..."

Laframboise sneaks another peak.  Then whispers at Tyrell, "if we can get his face mask and visor, we might get a better idea of how many vampires there are, and where they are.  Maybe even when the Baroota fleet will attack."

Laframboise winks at Tyrell and blows him a kiss, "can you keep up with my cute butt, farm boy?"  With that, she whirls around the corner, pistol held in both hands and aimed at the ground, and runs, crouched over, quickly and quietly down the road in the direction of the vampire.  At the first alley between apartments, she stops, and waits for Tyrell to catch up.

City 7 - Yamato and Archer
"No"

Yamato is a bit surprised by Archer.  She was about to say that it was what they planned on, when he explains his reasoning.

"we will have to go to the main computer core. I wish we could go somewhere else, but the other places are the bridge or on the Battle 7, where all the data are compiled."

She nods, tight lipped.  "Right.  The main computer core it is."

"As for How, If i remember correctly what our intelligence instructor told us: the best way to look normal when we infiltrate is to meld to the crowd and look bored."

Yamato can't help chuckling under her breath.  It was her idea, some 15 years ago, during an operation with Major Kim, Jin-hee, that she had come up with that friendly-forces infiltration technique.

In good time, the duo make it into the guts of the ship, and pass through a couple of layers of security.  The majority are physical obsticals that require pass cards and passwords.  There are a couple of security posts, but the guards stationed at them look even more bored than the act Yamato and Archer put on.

Soon they arrive in one of the corridors next to the main computer core.  Yamato looks around a little nervously, expecting a bunch of soldiers to charge in at any moment, barking at them to drop to the floor and surrender.

She whispers at Archer, "now what?"

Wolfie sensed his leader becoming a bit more nervous because she was looking everywhere very fast, but for him, he wes becoming more serious: He was in his native element: computers, cables, electronics, lights, switchs... He liked flying, but this place was calming for him.

"now what?" she Ask. Sighting, he get back to the present moment: He quickly extract a computerised padd from his toolbox and call a standart computer control checklist on it before giving it to her:

"Here. Just act as my superior checking if the job is done well. I'll do the job on a terminal if there's one free. If not, i'm gonna improvise with my laptop." He whisper to her.

Again, They pass on security check and he took a second to look arround: Here he was. time to work!

OOC:  If there's free terminal, he go there, if not, he get to a workpost and deploy his laptop.  Here's how he will try to copy the data:
1: First he's gonna try to acces the Map as a data test. If everything is okay, He copy the data, macking this pass for a random scan and data flow transfert test.
2: if 1 didn't work, He will access the Data by simulating a test of transfert protocole with direct data access.
3: Ultimate try: Making his laptop pass for a temporary navigation console and access the map, downloading it in the process.
4: Last resort: Hacking the server who got the data and force him to deliver the data. Of course, he will secure the computer befor doing that so no one could follow his signal.

If something work, he will do a check-up of the servers and the connections during the dowload to evade suspicion .

down the street.  Heading to the opposite side." Lafram said pointing, It was the first time Austyn had seen an actual Baroota before. He was nervous, in a way buit excited at the same time. When Laframboise winks at Tyrell and blows him a kiss, he feels abit fluffy then he hears he say "can you keep up with my cute butt, farm boy? He started to follow, his eyes dipped for a second and looked at the cute butt, she's right it is cutt.

As he followed he looked around for a length of rope or wire, he needed it to be atleast 10 to 12 feet long, if he saw it he would pick it and and make a lasso, He hadnt rangled anything since he was a kid, what better time than now to try.
